As vice president of global brand and product marketing, Justine is responsible for the doTERRA studio marketing group, including global brand and product marketing strategies. Prior to this position, she worked with doTERRA as a consultant, contributing to a wide number of company initiatives. She was instrumental in the strategic development of the studio team; many Wellness Advocate initiatives; and company brand, campaign marketing, and product positioning initiatives.
Justine is a seasoned business and brand strategist with over 20 years of experience running large marketing and strategy teams for global agencies and brands in Australia, the UK, and North America. Before relocating to the US in 2014, she was the founder and CEO of a full-service agency in her native Australia, specializing in digital, social, and experiential marketing. Prior to beginning her first contract with doTERRA in August 2019, she served as the chief strategy officer at VaynerMedia in New York, running a global team who served dozens of clients.
Justine has also trained in meditation, conscious leadership, and business coaching. In 2019, she became a certified meditation teacher, infusing the principles into her approach to creative and strategy teams. Justine’s diverse background in media, partnerships, and creative thinking gives her a holistic perspective when connecting people and creating a business or brand strategy.
Outside of doTERRA, Justine is passionate about positive impact in the world, social justice, sovereignty, cryptocurrency, travel, music, technology, hip-hop, yoga, animal welfare, good food, and great design.
Timothy Valentiner is vice president of global strategic sourcing at doTERRA. In this role, he oversees global essential oil supply chains and the Strategic Sourcing team, which is responsible for ensuring the ongoing supply of pure, natural doTERRA essential oils from over 45 different countries—more than half of which are developing countries. Key to the success of these efforts has been planning and working directly with farmers and distillers, particularly through doTERRA Sourcing Guiding Principles and Co-Impact Sourcing® initiatives. The Strategic Sourcing team also works closely with production partners to sustainably expand operations, growing with doTERRA. Finally, they collaborate with the doTERRA Healing Hands Foundation® to identify and fund social impact projects in farming and harvesting communities globally.
Tim has a unique background with over 25 years of experience managing results-driven social impact and international development projects in various countries. Previous positions Tim has held include staff and consulting for the World Bank (agriculture and rural development unit), managing USAID-funded economic growth projects, as well as private sector work in international development. He received a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Utah and a master’s in international economics from the Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies.
In 2020, David Doxey succeeded Founding Executive Mark Wolfert as the company’s general counsel and secretary. Prior to his appointment, David served as vice president of the legal department. His attention in this role was focused on management, major business initiatives, tax and corporate structuring, litigation, and essential oil sourcing.
David received a bachelor’s degree in economics and his juris doctor from the J. Reuben Clark Law School at Brigham Young University. He’s a member of the Utah and Nevada State Bar Associations and has served as chair of the corporate counsel of the Utah State Bar. Prior to joining doTERRA, David practiced law in both public and private sectors. He represented governmental entities, companies, and individuals in complex transactional, administrative, and litigation matters in both federal and state courts.
He’s married to Leslie Bertoch, and his greatest joy is found in being with Leslie and their four children, children’s spouses, and grandchildren.
Misty Bond is an award-winning public relations professional with a wealth of experience in specialties like broadcast media, influencer marketing, campaign creation, online reputation management, and crisis communications. She holds a bachelor’s degree in pre-law and an accreditation in public relations.
Misty began her career in the health and wellness industry, working for USANA Health Sciences. There, she had the unique opportunity to produce segments on the Dr. Oz Show, highlighting the importance of supplementation to overall wellness. Later, she worked for a smaller organization called Owlet Baby Care to help maintain the health of babies. She fundraised and supported foundations across the nation with free or discounted “smart socks” for parents unable to afford them. Misty recently worked for Purple Innovations, where she began a sleep advisory council to teach parents about sleep hygiene and built impactful omnichannel campaigns.
And now she’s taken on the most exciting role of her career as the vice president of public relations at doTERRA. She’s thrilled to bring its life-changing mission to even more individuals worldwide. She’s grateful to the tens of thousands of Wellness Advocates who passionately share the importance of essential oils for overall health and well-being.
In her spare time, Misty volunteers on boards and other service projects in her community and uses her 10 years of experience as a single mom to help women elevate their careers. Misty lives in Sandy, Utah, with her husband, teenager, and two cats: Chatty Cathy and Naughty Nancy. She has two children, four stepchildren, and three grandchildren.
Russell brings over 25 years of sales, marketing, and executive leadership experience to doTERRA. He joined in 2016 as a regional sales manager after 15 years with a Fortune 500 company, working in various sales and sales management roles. For the over six years, he’s served doTERRA as the vice president of US sales.
Now as vice president of global leadership development, Russell assists the development of new global markets, partnering with top leaders in growing their doTERRA teams. Along with his global responsibilities, Russell is excited to continue expanding his relationships with US leaders and their teams.
Russell graduated from Brigham Young University with a degree in business management and received his MBA from Utah State University. Russell’s greatest passions are helping develop people and partnering with doTERRA leaders to accomplish their goals.
When he isn’t working or traveling, Russell can often be found in the mountains, standing in a river with a fly rod and occasionally catching a fish. Above all, his true love is for his four children and his wife, Shelly. They love being part of the doTERRA family and cherish the lifelong friendships they’ve established.
Missy Larsen, vice president of philanthropy and community impact, guides one of the world’s most active corporate-philanthropy operations, with a mission to empower people and communities worldwide to be healthy, safe, and self-reliant. For over three decades, Missy has been recognized as a collaborative leader with a results-focused approach to work. Her passion is connecting public, private, and voluntary resources for community-building initiatives.
Missy is the founder of Intrepid Communications, cofounder of the Utah Refugee Connection, founding chair of SafeUT, and volunteer member of numerous boards. Prior to joining doTERRA, she served as the chief of staff to Utah Attorney General Sean Reyes, where she led many initiatives, trainings, and task forces on a wide range of issues, including anti-human trafficking, anti-crime, safe schools, and diversity.
Missy and her husband, Sam, are the proud parents of four children.
As vice president of human resources, Chris Farnsworth oversees HR in service of over 4,000 doTERRA global employees and partners with the company CEO in driving organizational and talent strategy. Prior to joining doTERRA, Chris was an HR director with Procter & Gamble, with assignments in Cincinnati, Ohio, and Sacramento, California.
Chris earned an MBA from the Marriot School of Business at Brigham Young University with an emphasis in organizational behavior and human resources. While in school, he was recognized as a Hawes Scholar for his academic achievements and leadership. Prior to business school, Chris spent three years as a licensed investment broker for Fidelity Investments in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Outside of work, Chris likes spending time with his family (his wife, Brooke, and six—yes, six!—daughters), enjoying the great outdoors, playing the guitar, and cheering on his beloved Utah Jazz.
Bekah Nixon brings over two decades of experience in global marketing, entrepreneurship, brand construction, and product innovation to her role as vice president of global product innovation. Intensely curious and passionate about unlocking the human body’s potential, she’s devoted her life to elevating human wellness through the latest scientific research combined with ancient health practices.
Recognizing our healthcare system tends to only treat illness rather than promote health, performance, and longevity, Bekah applies her unique knowledge and background toward innovating product launches—from ideation through commercialization—and acts as a brand steward for all doTERRA products. At doTERRA, she’s directed successful, groundbreaking product development on monumental product lines, including the doTERRA Kids Collection and Yarrow|Pom line. Bekah is all about people, products, and growth. She strives to create long-term channels of support between Wellness Advocates and corporate efforts.
Outside of pushing the bounds of human possibility, Bekah can be found adventuring and creating memories with her five children, one grandchild, and three grand-puppies.
