US Founders Club 2.0—FAQ

Do I have to live in the United States to participate?
No, you don’t have to live in the United States to become a US Founder 2.0. However, you’ll only earn points from personal enrollees who live in the United States and have US doTERRA accounts. To earn rank advancement points from your personal enrollees’ achievements, 90% or more of their qualifying volume must come from the United States.

When will my US Founders 2.0 dashboard be updated with rank advancement points?
Points from your personal rank advancements, as well as those from your personally enrolled leaders’ rank advancements, are updated each month after the primary commission run. This also applies to the points earned from Empowerment Bonuses and Power of 3 $250 bonuses. Your Dashboard will usually update around the twentieth of each month.

When can I start earning points?
Points earned from enrollments and achievements made after May 15, 2020, count toward your progress.

Can I earn points if I get back to my highest achieved rank?
If you haven’t reached a rank since October 31, 2019, you’ll be eligible to earn half the points when you achieve that rank again after May 15, 2020.

Where can I see my points?

Is there an end date for US Founders Club 2.0?
This program will end the earlier of 200 people reaching 1,000 points and thus qualified to be US Founders 2.0, or August 31, 2023.

If I need to give enrollership up to someone in my structure who’s trying to move up in rank, do I lose the points I previously received that were associated with that enrollment?
No, you won’t lose any points you previously earned from such enrollments. However, once you give the enrollership to someone else, you’ll no longer continue earning points. For example, if someone you have enrollership of achieves a new rank in June and you maintain enrollership through the commission run for June commissions, you’ll get the points for that month. If you give up the enrollership in August, the new enroller will earn the points for when the account hits that rank for the second and third time. This also applies to the Power of 3 $250 bonus and Empowerment Bonus.

Can I earn points if a Gold I enrolled gets the Empowerment Bonus?
Yes, if one of your personally enrolled Gold leaders in the US qualifies for the Empowerment Bonus for the first time, you’ll receive points. However, if he or she earned the Empowerment Bonus as a Silver before hitting Gold, you won’t receive points for the Empowerment Bonus.

If I qualify as a US Founder 2.0, when will I receive my first Founders bonus?
The Founders bonuses are paid out in January or February each calendar year.

How will I know if the 200 spots are filled?
On your US Founders 2.0 Dashboard, you can see the individuals who have qualified as US Founders 2.0 and how many spots are remaining.

I’m a Wholesale Customer. Can I participate in US Founders Club 2.0?
If you’re a Wholesale Customer and would like to participate in US Founders Club 2.0, you can upgrade your account to become a Wellness Advocate. You’ll need to be a Wellness Advocate to enroll people, advance in rank, and earn commissions. You can upgrade your account online or by calling Member Services.

If I or my personally enrolled leaders rank advance one month but decline in the next, will I lose points?
No, once you’ve earned points for rank advancement, you won’t lose points. You’ll receive more points once you or they hit that rank again for a second and third time.

Do M1 accounts qualify?
Yes, if you’re a Presidential Diamond with an M1 account, the points will be combined for both of your accounts.

If I receive a placements exception, will that affect my points?
Yes, if an exception is approved, it may affect the points. The Placements team and Exceptions Committee will handle these situations on a case-by-case basis.

When there’s an account transfer, does the person who transferred into the account inherit the transferor’s points?
If someone transfers into a position, he or she doesn’t inherit any points that were earned by the previous account holder or any second or third time points. However, this person will earn points for new achievements made after the transfer. For example, if Amanda transferred into a position that just achieved Elite for the first time, she would earn points after she rank advances to Premier.

How do account transfers affect team rank advancement points for the enroller?
After an account transfer, the enroller doesn’t earn points until the transferee advances beyond the rank he or she was transferred into. For example, if Bonnie transferred into a Premier position, the enroller wouldn’t receive team rank advancement points for Bonnie until she advances to Silver.

Does my personal enrollee need to have 90% of his or her entire Organizational Volume (OV) in the US for me to earn points from rank advancements?
No, he or she only needs 90% of the qualifying volume to be in the US to qualify for points toward rank advancement. Their OV doesn’t matter.

How is the 90% US qualifying volume calculated?
To earn personal and team rank advancement points for US Founders Club 2.0, at least 90% of your total qualifying volume for your personally enrolled leaders’ rank achievements and bonuses must be in the United States. That volume calculation is made at the Elite and Executive levels.

The 90% US qualifying volume, depending on rank:

  • Premier: 90% US volume for the two Executive legs
  • Silver: 90% US volume for the three Elite legs
  • Gold: 90% US volume for the three Premiers’ Executive legs
  • Platinum: 90% US volume for the three Silvers’ Elite legs
  • Diamond: 90% US volume for the four Silvers’ Elite legs

Once I reach 1,000 points and qualify as a US Founder 2.0, how do I maintain my spot?
To continue being recognized and compensated as a Founder, you must maintain at least Gold rank 8 months in the calendar year through 2023 and 2024. You’ll be allowed a grace period of four months out of every calendar year, meaning you can be at a lower rank than what’s required for four out of the 12 months of the calendar year and still remain a Founder. The four months don’t have to be consecutive. Rank requirements after 2025 will be added at a later time. The year you hit Founders 2.0, you do not have to hit any maintenance requirements, but we do encourage that you keep your rank up, as the year following you will be required to meet the 8 out of 12 months of Gold or higher to continue being recognized and compensated as a Founder.  For these qualifications, your personally enrolled US leaders will need to continue maintaining 90% of their qualifying volume in the United States. Any changes to the ongoing maintenance qualifications will be communicated with ample notice.

If my personal enrollee reactivates his or her account or upgrades from a Wholesale Customer to a Wellness Advocate, do I earn enrollment points?
To earn enrollment points for US Founders Club 2.0, it must be a brand-new enrollment. Reactivations and upgrades won’t earn points. However, if those same enrollees rank advance or earn the Power of 3 $250 bonus or the Empowerment Bonus for the first time, you’ll earn points for those achievements.

I hit a new rank for the first time in April 2020. Will I receive points for that month?
If you or your enrollee rank advanced in April 2020, points weren’t earned for that month, as the program started May 15, 2020. However, you’d earn points for the second and third time the rank is achieved after the program began. This also applies if in April you or an enrollee returned to a rank that hadn’t been reached since October 31, 2019. Points wouldn’t be earned for the April rank advancement, but you’d still earn half points for the second and third time the rank is achieved again.

What types of points would the April 2020 exception apply to?
The April 2020 exception is for personal rank advancement points and your personally enrolled leaders’ rank advancement points. It doesn’t apply to points for enrollments and LRP, Power of 3 $250 bonus, or the Empowerment Bonus. All earnings for those points started accumulating on May 15, 2020.
