Frankincense Essential Oil

Boswellia trees have been celebrated for centuries. The Babylonians and Assyrians would burn the tree resin in religious ceremonies and for contemplative meditation. The ancient Egyptians used it in perfumes and salves for soothing skin. Oil from the resin has long been used in Ayurvedic and traditional Chinese health practices.

Premium doTERRA Frankincense essential oil is a proprietary blend of resins from four tree species: Boswellia carterii, B. sacra, B. papyrifera, and B. frereana. Considered the “king of oils,” Frankincense essential oil has extraordinary benefits.

Because of its significant level of alpha-Pinene, Frankincense oil may help maintain healthy skin structure, according to preclinical research. Nourishing and clarifying when added to daily skincare, the essential oil’s warm, spicy, herbal aroma also creates a relaxing yet uplifting atmosphere.

Because the Boswellia species used in Frankincense essential oil grow best in different soils and regions, doTERRA Co-impact Sourcing® is helping diversify supply pressure and create future sustainable harvesting solutions.

Naio Essential Oil

Native to Hawai?i, Naio is sustainably harvested from trees that thrive alongside the cherished ’Iliahi (Hawaiian Sandalwood). Naio trees, which can range from sprawling shrubs to majestic 30-foot giants, yield an essential oil with a captivating, earthy, sweet aroma.

This unique oil embodies the spirit of traditional Hawaiian wellness practices. Because of its alpha-bisabolol content, Naio essential oil has many powerful benefits, being soothing to the skin and reducing the appearance of skin imperfections.

Naio is sourced in the Kealakekua Mountain Reserve, a doTERRA Co-Impact Sourcing® initiative and home to the largest reforestation effort in Hawaiian history.

Frankincense Stick + Naio

Practitioner Recommendation:

“The skin is your body’s largest organ. It’s highly adaptive and plays many roles. It’s your first layer of protection, regulating temperature, preventing dehydration, and helping with vitamin D production. Isn’t it of vital important then to keep your skin healthy?

“Frankincense Stick + Naio is a convenient and effective solution to restore your skin and support that barrier. I’ve been using it every day on my hands. On those Saturdays when I’ve been working in the yard for hours, I use it to soothe the minor irritations that pop up after a day of hard labor.

“After reading the research on Frankincense oil and the alpha-bisabolol content in Naio and then experiencing the product for myself, I’m convinced it’s one of the best ways to support healthy skin.”
