Lavender Essential Oil

Lavender is widely considered a must-have essential oil because of its versatility. It’s been used and cherished for centuries because of its unmistakable aroma and myriad of benefits. Ancient Egyptians and Romans used lavender for bathing and cooking and in perfumes.

Lavender essential oil is distilled from the freshly harvested flowering tops of the true lavender plant (also known as English lavender) from lavender farms in Bulgaria, France, and other areas of the world.

The gentle, relaxing aroma of Lavender oil is best known for promoting a peaceful environment.

Geranium Essential Oil

A member of the Pelargonium genus, the geranium plant is grown for its beauty and serves as a staple of the perfume industry. There are over 200 varieties of Pelargonium flowers, but only a few are used for essential oil.

Geranium oil use dates back to ancient Egypt, when Egyptians used it to beautify the skin and hair. In the Victorian era, fresh geranium leaves were placed at formal dining tables as decorative pieces and were consumed as a fresh sprig. The edible leaves and flowers are often used in desserts, cakes, jellies, and teas.

Geranium essential oil promotes the appearance of clear skin and healthy hair, making it ideal for hair- and skincare products. The aroma creates a calming, relaxing atmosphere.

Frankincense Essential Oil

Frankincense has been a highly valued commodity for millennia, dating back to ancient civilizations like Babylon and Assyria. The precious resin is the oldest global supply chain. Babylonians and Assyrians would burn it in religious ceremonies and for contemplative meditation. The ancient Egyptians used it in perfumes and soothing skin salves. Oil from the resin has long been used in Ayurvedic and traditional Chinese wellness practices.

Frankincense essential oil comes from the resin of the frankincense tree. Harvesters make shallow cuts in the bark, from which resin seeps out. The resin is left for two weeks to crystallize, then it’s scraped off the tree. This process repeats over multiple weeks throughout the harvesting season. Resin tears are carefully cleaned and organized by size and color by harvesters before distillation.

Jasmine Extract

With a lifespan of nearly 30 years, jasmine has dark green foliage and delicate white flowers. Jasmine flowers bloom before sunrise. To ensure the highest-quality aromatic compounds, it’s essential to pick the flowers and extract their essential oil immediately after the plant blooms.

Blossoms are carefully hand-harvested before dawn (usually around 2:30 a.m.) about six months after planting to prevent the sun’s heat from melting the flower’s wax and killing the blossom.

Summer Snowflake Bulb Extract

The summer snowflake (Leucojum aestivum) comes from a flowering plant known for its delicate, bell-shaped white flowers. Traditionally, this plant has been used in ornamental gardening for its calming aesthetic. In skincare, extracts from the dormant bulbs are gaining attention for their potent anti-aging properties. These bulbs are rich in natural alkaloids such as galantamine, which have been shown to have antioxidant effects.

Summer snowflake bulb extract helps reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Its ability to inhibit oxidative stress makes it an excellent ingredient for protecting the skin from environmental damage, while also promoting a smoother, more youthful complexion.

Olive Fruit Extract

Olive fruit extract is derived from the fruit of the olive tree (Olea europaea), a plant native to the Mediterranean and revered for thousands of years in food, wellness practices, and skincare. Historically, olive oil and its extracts were used by ancient Egyptians and Greeks for their moisturizing and other beneficial properties, as well as in rituals symbolizing purity and vitality.

In modern skincare, olive fruit extract is prized for its high antioxidant content, particularly polyphenols and vitamin E, which combat free radical damage and prevent premature aging. Its hydrating and nourishing properties help improve skin elasticity, smooth fine lines, and promote a radiant complexion. Olive fruit extract is also known for calming irritation and supporting healthy-looking skin, especially when mature or stressed.
