Clove Essential Oil

Intensely aromatic when diffused, Clove essential oil is warm, woody, spicy, and sweet. It is often considered a festive holiday aroma.

The clove tree is originally from Southeast Asia, and most of clove production is for the spice industry. It takes clove trees about three years to mature, but they can live to be over 100. The essential oil comes from the clove buds, which are ready for harvest when they turn bright red—just before they blossom. Harvesting is performed during the fall season. After the buds are harvested, they’re dried in the sun. This not only extends the shelf life of the buds, but it also produces a higher quality and yield of Clove essential oil.

Cinnamon Bark Essential Oil

Cinnamon Bark essential oil is derived from a tropical evergreen tree that grows up to 45 feet high and has highly fragrant bark, leaves, and flowers. The sweet, spicy aroma of cinnamon is loved worldwide, and its iconic flavor is frequently used in mouth rinses and chewing gum.

The bark can be harvested year-round after the tree reaches three years of maturity. The tree is cut and the bark is peeled from the trunk and major branches. The tree regrows and can be harvested again when it reaches the right size. After the bark is harvested, it’s dried in the sun and then steam-distilled to produce the essential oil.

Eucalyptus Essential Oil

Australia is home to more than 700 types of fast-growing, flowering evergreens known as eucalyptus. Part of the myrtle family (Myrtaceae), these plants can grow to 60 feet tall and 15 feet wide.

The primary chemical component in Eucalyptus essential oil is eucalyptol (1,8-Cineole), which is where the essential oil gets its cleansing properties.

Rosemary Essential Oil
