Aromatherapy and Meditation to Reduce Stress

There is no doubt that people are experiencing greater feelings of stress and anxiousness now than ever before. However, significant debate has existed on what methods are most effective in managing those feelings.

Peruvian scientists designed an experimental study to find whether aromatherapy combined with meditation is more effective than either method alone. While aromatherapy and meditation alone both yielded significantly reduced anxious feelings, when practiced simultaneously, the effect was greatly increased. The results of this study support the use of essential oils to augment stress management techniques, such as meditation.
