Mango Lassi is a traditional Indian yogurt drink often offered with summer meals. There are so many good things about a cold cup of sweet lassi; the way it slides icy down your throat and settles easy on even a full stomach, the refreshing and sweet, fruity flavor of mango, and fun and exotic flavors mingling in unexpected ways. This recipe brings together rose water, the warm spice of Cardamom oil, and juicy, ripe mangos.
Ingredients
½ cup coconut milk
1 cup honey greek yogurt
1 cup mango (fresh, frozen, or canned)
1 teaspoon rose water
4 ice cubes
1 drop Cardamom oil
Rose petals for garnish, if desired
Instructions
- Blend all ingredients, minus Cardamom oil and rose petals, together in a blender until smooth.
- Add more ice or water to reach desired texture.
- Mix in one drop of Cardamom oil and taste. Add more if desired.
- Garnish with a rose petal and serve immediately.
Tip: For a tangier lassi, use plain rather than honey yogurt and add a squeeze of fresh lime juice.
