doTERRA Touch® Davana Uses and Benefits

doTERRA Touch Davana Product Description

Davana is an aromatic herb from southern India. The plant is cultivated for its fragrant eaves and flowers, which are used in floral arrangements, religious offerings, and to produce an utterly unique essential oil. The resulting essential oil has a sweet, warm scent that is exotic, sensual, and intriguing. On its own, the oil provides a pleasant, herbaceous aroma with plum and raisin notes and a hint of wood. Once applied to the skin, the scent becomes beautifully adaptive, combining with every individual’s own chemistry for a personal fragrance that is completely unique to the wearer. doTERRA Touch Davana presents this essential oil in a base of Fractionated Coconut Oil to bring the aromatic benefits while being hydrating to the skin and helping to maintain the skin’s natural barrier.

How do I use doTERRA Touch Davana Oil?

  1. Personal Fragrance: Apply to wrists and neck and wear on its own as a sweet, personal fragrance, or layer with other doTERRA Touch® florals for a personalized essential oil perfume. However you wear it, doTERRA Touch Davana will adapt to your skin for a truly unique aroma.
  2. Pick-me-up Aroma: If you’re in need of a sweet, woody aromatic boost throughout your day, keep a bottle of doTERRA Touch Davana on hand. Simply inhale from the roller, or apply a small amount to your palms, rub together, and inhale deeply for a fruity-floral pick-me-up.
  3. Scented Wardrobe: Give your wardrobe an exotic flare by incorporating the scent of doTERRA Touch Davana into your clothes. Simply roll a small amount to the corner of a scarf, blouse, or shirt collar, or roll doTERRA Touch Davana onto a clay or felt essential oil diffuser jewelry pendant.
  4. Skincare: Davana oil’s floral origins make it gentle on the skin, and doTERRA Touch Davana’s base of Fractionated Coconut Oil provides additional moisturising benefits to the skin. Enhance your daily skincare routine by rolling a small application of doTERRA Touch Davana onto desired areas for a soft scent and to help keep skin hydrated.

Fun Fact

The davana plant, Artemisia pallens, is also known as Dhananam, or by its Sanskrit name, Damanaka.

What is doTERRA Touch Davana Oil?

The Davana plant is a member of the Asteraceae family, and is a relative to the sunflower, daisy, and Roman chamomile flowers. It is a small, fragrant, flowering herb with soft, silver, fern-like leaves, and small yellow flowers. The plant is native to southern India, where it’s traditionally used by Ayurvedic practitioners. Often grown in the home gardens of India, the plant attracts many species of butterflies. Davana essential oil is steam distilled from the flower, leaf, and stem of the plant.

What Essential Oils blend well with doTERRA Touch Davana?

Because the aroma of doTERRA Touch Davana has natural notes of floral, fruit, and wood, it blends exceptionally well with essential oils from nearly every family. Blend with your favourite florals, with citrus oils like Grapefruit oil, Bergamot oil, or Green Mandarin oil, with woods and resins like Cedarwood oil, Frankincense oil, or Vetiver oil, or with spices like Cardamom oil and Clove Bud oil.
