Litsea Oil Steamer

DIY

Everything gets a little stuffier during winter—coats, toasty rooms, public transportation—and it can be hard to adjust. Freshen up your winter with a relaxing mini sauna sure to reinvigorate you after a day out in those cold, stuffy places. We’ve added two of our favorite essential oils to your homemade sauna, Easy Air and Litsea, for their minty, citrusy, invigorating aromas you can enjoy while breathing in the hot steam.

Supplies
Instructions
  1. Boil water in a teakettle over medium high heat. Pour the hot water into your mug or cup.
  2. Add essential oils to the water and gently stir with a spoon.
  3. Cup your hands at the top edge of the mug, and gently lean into your hands. Breathe deeply to inhale the steam for five seconds, then back away from the mug and steam for five seconds.
  4. Repeat this process as desired.
Steam is a powerful thing, and when supplemented by essential oils it can also be a delightful aromatic experience! If you’re looking for how to use Litsea essential oil, this is one of the easiest ways to enjoy its bright aroma while being really purposeful. Take one whiff and you’ll know why it’s one of our favorite essential oils!
