Is the Convention being cancelled or postponed to a later date this year?
Our Elevate 2020 Europe Convention has been postponed to 2021. We are still working on alternative solutions to announce some of the key messages we were looking forward to sharing with you this year. We will communicate further details in the coming weeks.
When will Convention be held in 2021?
Convention will still take place in the historic city of Rome. A future date for the event in 2021 is yet to be confirmed.
Why has the Convention been postponed and when was this information first communicated?
The doTERRA Elevate 2020 Europe Convention was scheduled to happen from May 8th- 9th 2020.
Following consultation with dōTERRA’s Chief Medical Officer Dr. Russell Osguthorpe and other governmental and medical sources, together with the recommendations from the World Health Organisation (WHO) and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) around the risks of COVID-19 Coronavirus, we made the difficult decision to postpone the 2020 European Convention.
We released a postponement communication on 11th March.
We felt that it was in the best interests and well-being of our Wellness Advocates, attendees and employees to cancel this event in order to reduce exposure to risk as much as possible. We appreciate your understanding.
Will Empowerment Day also be cancelled?
All events provided by doTERRA Corporate surrounding the European Convention 2020 including Empowerment Day have been cancelled. If you purchased a ticket for Empowerment Day 2020, the ticket will automatically be transferred across to the same event in 2021, which will be scheduled to happen the day before our European Convention 2021.
“I have qualified for Gala” - Will my qualification be deferred until next year?
We understand and appreciate how hard you have worked to qualify for Gala. We will be recognising everyone who qualified for 2020 in 2021.
“I have qualified to walk in General Session (Silver – Platinum)” – Will this qualification defer to 2021?
Yes, we intend to recognise all qualifiers at next year’s event.
What happens to the ticket I have purchased for Elevate 2020 if I do not wish to have it refunded?
The ticket you have purchased for Elevate 2020 Europe Convention, will automatically be deferred to our 2021 Convention. This means that the ticket you originally purchased for this year’s event is valid for the 2021 Convention. Once the ticket has been transferred, you will receive a new ticket confirmation sent to the email used to place your ticket order.
If at a later stage I want to get a refund for my ticket that was transferred for Convention 2021 or Empowerment Day 2021, will there be a new refund policy?
Yes. If your ticket has been transferred automatically and you still want to request a refund at a later stage, please be aware that refunds can still be issued.
A new refund policy will be in place, including a new deadline for Convention and Empowerment Day in 2021. This information will be available shortly.
Does the Convention change of programme affect other doTERRA events that I wish to attend this year?
We will continue to monitor the situation and advise as circumstances may change. Please stay tuned and refer to our website for any future announcements.
How do I request a refund?
You must email email@example.com stating that you wish to have your order refunded. You will also need to include the following:
• doTERRA ID
• Full name
• Eventbrite booking reference
• Email address used to register the ticket for Convention/ Empowerment Day
How long will it take to receive the refund?
Refunds will be processed immediately once requested. Please allow 7-10 business days after you get the refund confirmation by email for the funds to appear back in your account.
Please note that the payment will appear on your account as being from Eventbrite, and not from doTERRA.
Can I change the refund to another credit card other than the card I paid with or get a full refund in cash/EFT?
Unfortunately, no, all refunds will be processed directly back to the original card used at the time of ticket purchase. For privacy and confidentiality matters, we have no access to any payment details or transactions as these are arranged automatically by Eventbrite in a closed and secure system.
If you have purchased your ticket from another person, you will need to contact them directly to organise your refund.
How can I receive my refund if my card details have changed or expired?
We are not able to alter your credit card details before the refund has been processed. Refunds will be processed directly from Eventbrite to the original credit card used at time of purchase. If that credit card is expired/cancelled and the associated account is still active, your bank may reroute the funds to the new card. We recommend that you contact your banking institution to confirm this information.
If the credit card is expired/cancelled and the associated account is NOT active, please contact Eventbrite directly via this contact us link or via 0800 009 3881 (free).
Can you refund my ticket to the person I have transferred the ticket to?
Unfortunately no, all refunds will be processed directly back to the original card used at the time of ticket purchase.
Will doTERRA reimburse my flight & accommodation booking costs?
doTERRA will be offering refunds for Empowerment Day and Elevate 2020 Europe Convention ticket(s) only. By providing a 4 week notice period doTERRA’s hope is that this gives you sufficient time to organise refund/credits for flights and/or accommodation with your initial travel booking providers. doTERRA will also not be able to communicate directly with the travel company on your behalf.
How is this going to affect Diamond Club?
Diamond Club qualifications are being considered and we will notify members at the earliest convenience.
I have a ticket for Spring Tour. How can I check if my event is still happening?
Please be aware that some events for Spring Tour have been cancelled to safeguard our doTERRA community from any risk. Those with tickets will be notified separately, but please click here to find out if your Spring Tour event is still going ahead as planned.
I have other questions regarding the problems that Coronavirus is causing in Europe, that are not related to Convention. Who should I contact?
We recommend that you direct your concerns to relevant organisations in your country to seek adequate answers and advice to address any concern. We have based our communication on advice issued by the Centers for Disease Prevention and Control (CDC), available here and the World Health Organisation available here.
Will my order be delayed?
We also are working hard to ensure that our shipments reach you as fast as possible. Some delays to certain regions of the world are inevitable due to any restrictions in place, and we thank you in advance for your patience if an order takes longer to arrive than anticipated.
Are you going to run out of stock?
doTERRA has an excellent operations team that is planning and forecasting supply chain challenges and product needs around the world. There may be occasional short-term ‘stockout’ of some high demand products; however, our long-term strategic planning with our global network of growers means that we have more than a year’s supply of most of our essential oils.
