Cupcake paper cases

  1. Separate 12 cupcake paper cases.
  2. On the stove, heat a saucepan of water until it is gently simmering.
  3. Place a bowl inside the saucepan and melt the chocolate, golden syrup and butter. Stir the mixture until smooth.
  4. Remove the bowl from the heat. Let it cool down for a couple of minutes and then add a few drops of your favourite baking essential oils. Why not try Peppermint, Spearmint, Wild Orange, Tangerine or even Lavender? Get creative and always remember to taste the mix with a clean spoon after each drop of essential oil. You don’t want the flavour to become too overpowering.
  5. Gently stir in the cornflakes until all of the cereal is coated with chocolate.
  6. Divide the mixture between the paper cases.
  7. Press 2 chocolate eggs into the centre of each nest. Chill in the fridge for 1 hour, or until the chocolate has set.

Puffed rice cereals can be used instead of the cornflakes.
