Patchouli Essential Oil
Patchouli is a bushy herb from the mint family with stems reaching .5-1 meters in height and bears small pink-white flowers. Known for its rich and musky sweet fragrance, patchouli oil is regularly used in the perfume industry and in scented products like laundry detergents and air fresheners.
Patchouli essential oil comes from the leaf. Fresh leaves are air-dried for several days before distillation. When dried, they shrink to a third of their original weight. After drying, the leaves are distilled for at least eight hours.
Patchouli oil is beneficial to the skin in a myriad of ways, but it is most often used topically to help promote a smooth, glowing complexion.
Bergamot Essential Oil
Bergamot essential oil is unique among citrus oils. Reminiscent of earl grey tea, Bergamot adds a smooth, calming sweetness to any essential oil blend in addition to its bright, uplifting benefits.
Bergamot is one of the most delicate citrus plants, requiring a special climate and soil to thrive. Italy is one of the most ideal locations two grow this cherished fruit in commercial quantities, and Italians have used bergamot oil for years to soothe and rejuvenate the skin.
Sandalwood Essential Oil
Sandalwood essential oil is sourced from fragrant woods that can retain their aroma for decades. Both the wood and essential oil have been highly valued for centuries.
Sandalwood oil has traditionally been used as incense in religious ceremonies because of its sweet, woody, and grounding aroma. Sandalwood oil is also known for its enriching topical properties and ability to promote a smooth complexion.
Vanilla Absolute
Vanilla planifolia is a member of the orchid family, with yellow-white flowers that produce odourless bean pods. These blooms must be hand-pollinated, and it takes three to four years for the plant to begin producing beans. The beans are also harvested by hand before undergoing a time-consuming, labour-intensive process to fully develop their aroma and flavour.
Afterward, the beans are ground into small pieces and subjected to pressurized CO2 in a two-step extraction process that captures the beans’ aromatic constituents in vanilla absolute.
Of the real vanilla available in the world, 80% comes from Madagascar, which has the perfect tropical climate for the spice to thrive. In Madagascar, thousands of people—mostly families—are employed in the vanilla supply chain. The harvest is a crucial source of employment for rural communities and an integral part of the local economy, contributing to the livelihoods of almost 80,000 farmers.
Rose Essential Oil
Known as the queen of essential oils, Rose oil is enormously popular because of its aroma and unparalleled topical benefits. Immortelle utilizes the essential oil of Rosa damascena—more commonly known as the Damask rose—a species originally from the Syrian capital Damascus that is highly sought after for its aromatic properties.
Before the sun crests the horizon, Bulgarian workers can be found in the fields harvesting delicate blooms. The labor-intensive production process has a low yield. It takes over 10,000 freshly picked rose blossoms to produce a 5 mL bottle of Rose essential oil. Because the petals are so delicate, the distillation process must happen the same day the flower is harvested.
Jasmine Extract
Visually beautiful and distinctive, the pure white jasmine flower is associated with love and romance. Jasmine extract has a calming aroma that helps create an optimistic atmosphere.
With a lifespan of nearly 30 years, jasmine has dark green foliage and delicate white flowers. Jasmine flowers bloom before sunrise. To ensure the highest-quality aromatic compounds, it’s essential to pick the flowers and extract their essential oil immediately after the plant blooms. Blossoms are carefully hand-harvested before dawn (usually around 2:30 a.m.) about six months after planting to prevent the sun’s heat from melting the flower’s wax and killing the blossom.
Cinnamon Bark Essential Oil
Cinnamon essential oil evokes warm memories and creates a nostalgic, comforting atmosphere when diffused in the home. The sweet, spicy scent of cinnamon is loved worldwide, and its iconic flavour is frequently used in mouth rinses and chewing gum.
Cinnamon Bark oil also contains high contents of the chemical compound cinnamaldehyde, making it a top choice for a naturally sourced surface cleaner.
Vetiver Essential Oil
About half of the world’s vetiver oil is produced in Haiti. Vetiver grows well in the country’s sunny climate, and it’s hearty enough to survive common Caribbean floods and droughts.
Vetiver is a member of the grass family. Its root system can grow down 4 meters—ideal for erosion prevention. Unlike most grasses, vetivers roots grow vertically rather than horizontally.
Vetiver essential oil is distilled from these roots. The more time vetiver roots spend in the ground, the higher their essential oil quality, so our farmers are paid a premium to leave the roots in the ground longer. Ideally, vetiver should be harvested 12 to 18 months after planting.
Labdanum Essential Oil
Labdanum, a shrub with ancient allure and rich history, traces its origins to the rocky landscapes of the Mediterranean and Middle East. Known scientifically as Cistus ladaniferus, it’s revered for its aromatic resin.
Labdanum essential oil is steam-distilled from the shrub’s leaves and twigs. It’s celebrated for its warm, rich aroma.

The luxurious scent of Cocoa Seed essential oil makes it a popular choice in perfumery. Cocoa Seed oil is also often used in skincare products for its moisturizing properties.
Ylang Ylang Essential Oil
