Giving Back with doTERRA SPA Rose Hand Lotion

Always a popular product, the doTERRA SPA Rose Hand Lotion has long been a favorite thanks to its light, non-greasy formula that absorbs into the skin quickly. The unmistakable yet subtle scent of Bulgarian rose is both pleasant and natural. But aside from helping your skin to look healthy, soft, and smooth, this unique product is special for even deeper reasons.

Since the start of doTERRA, the founding executives knew that they wanted doTERRA to be a generous and giving company. From this desire, the doTERRA Healing Hands Foundation®, the doTERRA registered non-profit, was born. As part of this organization, all Rose lotion proceeds go directly to Healing Hands projects.

Fast forward to today, and Rose Lotion continues to give the gift of hope. Anyone who has purchased Rose Lotion has helped contribute to a miraculous number of projects. Healing Hands partners with other charitable organizations to bring healing, hope, and help make possible lives free of disease and poverty. Corporate partners and their projects include setting up micro-loans with Mentors International, reusable feminine hygiene with Days for Girls, and saving children from sex trafficking with Operation Underground Railroad (OUR Rescue).

These major partnerships are just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to humanitarian projects. Internationally, doTERRA is everywhere. Here are just a few highlighted projects:

  1. Wellness Advocates helped provide basic necessities for refugees in Lesvos, Greece, by working with doTERRA Europe, the doTERRA Healing Hands Foundation, and the NGO Because We Carry.

  2. Wellness Advocates in Japan were able to provide support for families who have been affected by nuclear disasters, earthquake devastation, and tsunami flooding across Japan in recent months and years.

  3. doTERRA donated funds to Utah Valley University (UVU) to help construct a campus autism facility dedicated to community members, employees, and educators. The donations will also help with the development of the center, playground areas, and sensory landscaping. Additional funds have been given to help the facility through 2017.

  4. The Healing Hands Foundation provided a wheelchair-accessible playground for Now I Can. Dozens of doTERRA employees installed it over the course of several weeks.

  5. Healing Hands contributed to the nonprofit organization, Thirst Relief International, to help with fundraising efforts that will bring clean water to communities around the world.

Aside from these projects, the doTERRA Healing Hands Foundation has also been helping the many fire, hurricane, and flooding victims all over the US earlier this year. Healing Hands also donates to many other projects sponsored or created by doTERRA Wellness Advocates. Each individual project has to meet specified requirements to receive funds or other help.

At doTERRA, we recognize that much of this work is made possible from the purchase of Rose Lotion and other generous donations by Wellness Advocates and Wholesale Customers alike. We are proud of what we have been able to do because of your continued support!
