Lavender oil has been cherished for centuries for its unmistakable aroma and myriad benefits. In ancient times, the Egyptians and Romans used Lavender for bathing, cooking, and as a perfume. Today, Lavender essential oil is considered a must-have oil due to its rich, versatile uses. When used topically, Lavender oil has a cooling and soothing effect and can improve the look of healthy skin. Aromatically, Lavender oil produces a powdery, floral scent famed for its relaxing qualities.
Why should I add Lavender oil to my collection? Lavender essential oil contains high amounts of linalool, a chemical constituent that gives Lavender its soothing, floral aroma and topical cleansing benefits. The addition of linalyl acetate also contributes to the relaxing aroma of Lavender oil. Add a few drops of Lavender oil to pillows, bedding, or bottoms of feet to create a blissful and relaxing atmosphere, especially when preparing for bed.
Apply one drop of Lavender essential oil to your daily moisturizer to soothe dry skin.
