How Do I Use Coriander Oil?

  1. Home cooking: When used in cooking, Coriander essential oil makes an excellent substitute for ground coriander and adds a spicy, herbal flavour to all your favourite dishes. For an extra boost of flavour, add a drop of Coriander oil to your favourite curry recipes and enjoy the warm, delicious taste.
  2. Skincare: With its topical cleansing properties, Coriander oil is a must-have when it comes to skincare. Simply add a drop of Coriander essential oil to your daily facial cleanser to promote a clean looking, clear complexion.
  3. Massage: At the end of a long day, treat yourself to a well-deserved massage using Coriander essential oil. Combine three to four drops of Coriander oil with Fractionated Coconut oil and rub into your skin for a relaxing aroma or apply a few drops to your legs for a soothing sensation on the skin after a short workout.
  4. Personal Aroma: Use two to three drops of Coriander under your arms before applying deodorant for a bright, clean scent that will last throughout even your busiest days.
  5. Diffuse: Whether you’re at home or the office, create a refreshing atmosphere by adding three to four drops of Coriander essential oil to your favourite diffuser. Or, for a stimulating aroma, diffuse two drops each of Coriander oil and Peppermint oil.

Fun Fact

Coriander gets its name from the Greek word koris, which means stink bug. This reference likely comes from the strong aroma given off by the cilantro plant leaves when the leaves become bruised or damaged.

What Is Coriander Oil?

Coriander comes from the Cilantro plant, Coriandrum sativum, which is a fast-growing, aromatic, annual plant with several uses. The green, feather-like leaves are steam distilled to extract Cilantro essential oil, and the small, yellow-brown, oval-shaped seeds are the source of Coriander oil. Once harvested, these seeds are steam distilled and bottled as the cherished Coriander essential oil.

What Essential Oils Blend Well with Coriander Oil?

Coriander oil is known for blending well with minty, fresh essential oils like Peppermint oil or Wintergreen oil. The green, herbaceous aroma of Coriander essential oil also pairs well with the popular Easy Air® oil blend.
