DIY Dry Shampoo with Lemon Eucalyptus Essential Oil

Sometimes it’s a dry shampoo kind of day. If you prefer dry shampoo that comes as a spray, not powder, you’re in luck! This recipe for an easy spray-in dry shampoo is made with naturally-sourced ingredients, including Lemon Eucalyptus essential oil for a refreshing, lemony twist. We also add Rosemary for its hair-nourishing benefits for a dry shampoo spray with the ultimate satisfaction factor.

Supplies

Instructions

  1. Using a funnel, pour all ingredients into a small glass spray bottle. It is better to use a pump head rather than a mister head to prevent clogging.
  2. Twist on lid and shake well. Calcium carbonate is insoluble, but will mix evenly with the alcohol and water when shaken. Always shake before each use.
  3. Spray mixture on roots and comb through hair.

Rather than settling for a product with potential additives, creating your own naturally-sourced dry shampoo spray is easy when you have essential oils. With simple ingredients and fresh, invigorating aromas like Lemon Eucalyptus and Rosemary essential oils, you can feel good about using this dry shampoo spray every time you spray it on your luscious locks.

BONUS TIP! To experience the revitalizing sensation of Lemon Eucalyptus essential oil even more, try adding a drop or two to your regular shampoo for a refreshing aroma as you massage it into your scalp and rinse your hair clean.
