How to Maintain the Convention High

Convention and Fall Tour are some of the biggest parts of the doTERRA year—both are electric experiences packed full of inspiration to help you move your doTERRA business to the next level. We wish that the excitement never ended, but there’s no denying that it can become difficult to maintain the same super-charged levels of energy and motivation that surround Convention season.

​​​​​​​What do you do in times like this? There really is no time like Convention, but there are plenty of ways to keep the spirit alive all year long! Here are our top five suggestions on how to rekindle the enthusiasm you feel at Convention:

1. Keep up on the goals you previously wrote down during or after Convention. Writing things down brings a sense of focus that can jog your motivation. If you didn’t write them down in the first place, take some time to do a written inventory of the intentions you held before and during Convention. Do some reflecting and affirming to figure out if those goals are still working for you or how you can get back on track. Feel free to revise as needed!
2. Spend a few minutes each day looking at your notes. This is to remind yourself about specific moments from Convention that made you feel the most motivated and why. Try and meditate on your own thoughts and return yourself to those amazing moments that left that original impression with you. Start today’s goals with that spark!
3. If you are feeling behind on the goals you set at Convention, focus on starting rather than finishing. If one thing is sure about Convention, it sets high expectations—even our expectations for ourselves. If you aren’t quite where you want to be in the months that follow, don’t worry. It’s never too late to start. Just follow the first two tips and take the first step out the door. Starting is the hardest part. Once you’ve done it, you’ll be amazed at how far you can go!
4. Shift to holding positive thoughts about your progress. One of the best parts of convention is the contagious positivity and encouragement that comes from being surrounded by your leaders and peers. Remembering how many people believe in you can help recharge confidence in yourself and your business. Be your own number one fan, and give yourself credit where it’s due. When you think, “I’ll never get there,” instead tell yourself, “Yes I can.”
5. Try a new product. We love Convention because it gives a sense of excitement and newness, not to mention the excitement of releasing all new products to enjoy and share with your customers! An easy way to revive some of that Convention hype is expanding your at-home essential oil collection with an aroma you’ve never tried before.
