Description

Roman chamomile is a cooling essential oil with a sweet scent. It has a relaxing a nd calming effect. Obtained from the small white daisy like flowers this essential is calming to the mind and soothing to the nerves. The name derives from the greek anthemis meaning “little flower”. It has been found in ancient Egyptian sites and in early Scandinavian culture, it was associated with the sun god.

Primary Benefit | Relax and recentre: Roman Chamomile oil has been traditionally used in aromatherapy and Western herbal medicine to support and relax the nervous system.

Uses

Inhalation Uses | Traditionally used in aromatherapy to:
  • Support and calm nerves

Oral Uses | Traditionally used in Western herbal medicine to:

  • Support the nervous system
  • Relieve muscle cramping or spasm

Topical Uses | Traditionally used in aromatherapy to:

  • Support and calm nerves
  • Support general health and wellbeing

Directions for Use

Inhalation

  • Add 3-4 drops in a vaporiser and inhale deeply
  • Add 3-4 drops to a bowl of hot water and inhale deeply
  • Apply 5 drops onto a tissue, hold near nose and inhale

Note: Use up to 3 times per day.

Oral | Add 5 drops to a glass of water or tea, and drink immediately.
Note: Use up to 3 times per day.

Topical | Mix 1-2 drops of oil with 2-4 drops of carrier oil and apply to affected area.
