AromaTouch Hand Technique Movements

Hand Technique Movements

While the AromaTouch® Technique is the go-to for almost every circumstance in life, it does have its limitations. For example, you need a calm, private environment as well as 45 minutes to an hour to perform the technique for someone. This is why the AromaTouch Hand Technique is so valuable. Not only is the hand technique simple enough that anyone can perform it, but it also only takes a few minutes to complete on both hands. Plus, it can be given almost anywhere: a plane, the workplace, a park bench, the café, before bedtime, you name it!

The movements in this technique are simple, yet they deliver a powerful wellness experience. The following movements help accomplish the results that we want from the hand technique:

Oil Introduction and Dorsum Tissue Stretch

Regional Tissue Pull

Interphalangeal Tissue Pull

PinPoint Zone Activation

Fun Facts About Touch:

• Touch is the first sense that we develop when we are born.

• The right kind of touch can lower blood pressure, cortisol levels, and heart rate.

• The AromaTouch Hand Technique uses light, consistent touch that creates a beneficial response in the recipient.

Using the Hand Technique to Serve

It all started with an idea.

The AromaTouch Hand Technique is a simple and effective way to promote well-being and build powerful connections through the experience of essential oils. (Much like the full AromaTouch Technique wrapped in a smaller time-commitment package.) After internal AromaTouch Technique trainings in May of 2017, doTERRA had an army of willing and able employees ready to get out into the community and begin spreading the love. Enthusiastic recipients were not difficult to find, as six care facilities around Utah County eagerly agreed to a visit from our service-minded employees. Seeing how enthusiastic our employees are about using the AromaTouch Hand Technique to serve their community and to develop connections with the residents of these facilities has been an amazing experience. This is just beginning.

Ani Gabrielson, doTERRA Product Center Senior Manager shares her experience visiting the elderly at the local care facility:

I have enjoyed the AromaTouch Hand Technique service opportunities so much! I have been able to see how much change each one of us can create simply by sharing our time with others. We can brighten someone’s day just by having a conversation with them, and it completely changes our day as well. I have definitely seen the positive outcomes that this project has had, not only on the individuals that we visit, but also on myself and the other employees. I am proud to work for a company that cares about the community and puts in the time and effort to give back.
