Days For Girls

doTERRA Australia has partnered with Days for Girls, to help increase awareness and access to menstrual care & education for disadvantaged girls and women across 3 continents. Join us at this year’s 2019 AUNZ Convention and support 1250 girls & women by sponsoring and packing a hygiene kit. Days for Girls will have a space dedicated at Convention for you to pack your kit and contribute to our aim of packing 1250 hygiene kits.

HOW YOU CAN HELP SPONSOR A KIT AT CONVENTION?
If you would like to contribute to Days for Girls at Convention, we would love to have you join us in packing a hygiene kit. By contributing just 20 minutes of your time on Saturday 18th May, you can make a huge difference in the lives of disadvantaged girls and women around the world. If you are unable to pack a kit on the day, you can still sponsor a Days for Girls kit and we will have someone else pack the kit for you. WHAT’S IN A KIT?
Days for Girls hygiene kits last up to three years. This allows a girl to attend school every day of every month, in turn gives back to each girl 8 months of education over 3 years, which she may have missed out on before receiving a kit.

Each kit is packed in to a fabric drawstring bag that contains:

• 2 x fabric shield
• 8 x fabric liners
• 2 x pairs of underwear
• A washcloth
• Block of soap
• 2 x zip closure plastic bags
• Instruction Sheet

WHAT IS DAYS FOR GIRLS?
Days for Girls is a not-for-profit organisation that prepares and distributes sustainable menstrual hygiene solution kits to disadvantaged girls and women around the world. 

Around the world, girls and women resort to using rags, mattress stuffing, banana leaves, feathers, and even cow dung to manage their menstruation.

Days for Girls provides a safe, beautiful, washable, and long-lasting alternative — along with vital health education. At present, Days for Girls kits have reached over 1 million girls and women across the world and counting!
