dōTERRA Donates to Help with ACA Sports Council Symposium in October

 

 

Jennifer Nolan works with the ACA Sports Council as a student member and is also enrolled as a doTERRA Wellness Advocate. Along with other students, she helped to plan sections of the symposium designated for students. When the students realized that they would need financial assistance to bring their plans to fruition, Jenn reached out to doTERRA—knowing of the company’s past involvement with other community projects. After learning of the need for funds, doTERRA provided a monetary donation that helped cover costs for the student section of the symposium.

 

In today’s world, there is a high demand for health professionals who specialize in sports medicine and the treatment of athletes. This demand attracts many students to the ACA Sports Council, as they hope to pursue careers in this field. In order to receive proper treatment, elite athletes often need the help of doctors or chiropractors who specialize in sports injuries. In many cases, the pain associated with sports injuries is prolonged when athletes don’t seek the proper treatment. Painful injuries can lead to more chronic pain if the athlete continues to exercise or play sports—putting them at a higher risk for further damage.¹

 

For this year’s symposium, Jenn and the other students on the Sports Council organized products and speakers that benefited their fellow students by giving them a greater knowledge about their field and proper exposure to resources. Jenn says, "We really wanted the students to come away with a great experience and be exposed to as many positive influences and resources as possible, to help aid their future in sports medicine and chiropractic."
