Natural Cleaning with Essential Oils

Saying goodbye to nasty fumes from chemical-laden cleaning products is easier than you think. With essential oils and a few common household ingredients, you can make over your cleaning to green cleaning. You might even find that you start to enjoy housecleaning.

NATURAL CLEANING TIPS:

  • Use 2 tablespoons of doTERRA On Guard® Cleaner Concentrate to a 24 oz. spray bottle filled with water for an all-purpose cleaner.
  • Substitute air fresheners with essential oil diffusers. Add your favorite citrus essential oils to the Petal Diffuser for a clean aroma.
  • Put 1-2 drops of Lemon essential oil on a damp sponge and use to clean stainless steel.

Are Cleaning Products Safe?

Have you looked at the labels of your cleaning products? Many products are loaded with toxic chemicals that can be harmful to your family, home, pets, and the environment. These chemicals can give off fumes that may irritate the throat, eyes, or lungs; trigger headaches and fatigue; irritate the skin; pose a safety hazard; or affect the body in other ways.

How Can I Make My Own Natural Cleaner?

Fortunately, there are many ways to clean surfaces in your home without using harsh chemicals. Cleaning with natural, non-toxic cleaners is healthier for the environment and everyone in it.

You can make over your cleaning routine with doTERRA On Guard® Cleaner Concentrate, which you can dilute yourself to your preferred strength, cutting down on waste and reducing the number of bottles you need to keep around the house.
