What is the GDPR?

The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is the culmination of a four-year project to update current data protection and privacy standards for the 21st century. GDPR aims to harmonise this effort across the European Union (EU). GDPR is also in the process of being adopted by several Europe Economic Area (EEA) countries.
