In the business of relationships, marketing yourself is often more important than marketing the product. Marketing yourself is a broad term, and can be intimidating to those who are starting out, so we have put our top tips together to help you feel more comfortable with the concept of marketing yourself.

Things to consider when marketing yourself:
 
  1. Web presence 
    Google is the first point of call for people who are considering investing in a relationship with you. The internet is how people find out who you are, and what you are about. This is crucial as you only get one shot at a first impression, and your web presence is often that one chance. Remember to maintain professionalism and only upload things you are comfortable with people seeing.
  2. Create unique content 
    Make sure your content represents who you are as a person, and what your business is all about. The content you create provides you with the online presence for your audience to engage with, so make sure you are sticking to content that is unique to you, and engaging for your target audience. 
  3. Maintain a reputation  of kindness
    The way you present yourself speaks volumes to others. Nothing is more important than exhibiting kindness to those around you, and kindness should be at the forefront of every interaction you have. If you are genuinely kind to others, others will be genuinely kind to you.
  4. Be honest
    People love to buy, but they hate to be sold to. We know how amazing our doTERRA products are, we just need to share them with the world. Find out what area of their life people may be able to adopt essential oils and help guide them in the direction of the relevant oil. There is no need to be anything other than totally honest and genuine when sharing doTERRA products.
  5. Build your network
    We’ve said before and we’ll say it again. SHARE SHARE SHARE! Start by building quality relationships with your existing network, and then expand to those outside of your network. Go to new places, meet new people and always have your essential oil samples and elevator pitch on hand- you never know where you’ll meet your next enrolee!
