I was living on the island of Guam and one day decided it was time to change my life for the better. Once I made that decision, all good things miraculously started coming my way! When you want change...changes can be made...and changes will come! Around that time when I decided it was time to change, a friend introduced me to doTERRA products. I didn't know at that time that I would end up joining the company 5 years later! My friend let me try two of her bottles of doTERRA products. She even let me keep one of the bottles. I was hooked. I started picking up random bottles and brands of oils here and there, mainly from health stores. I tried lavender, lemongrass, tea tree, and more. I didn't really know what to do with the oils for a long time...I just knew they smelled so good, so I would rub them all over my body (well...I learned...not in certain places!). They made me feel SO GOOD! I loved putting oils on before doing yoga especially. Essential oils lifted my mood and spirit and really seemed to help keep me healthy. I used to get sick all the time, but once I made a bunch of healthy changes in my life--I barely ever get sick anymore. I definitely attribute part of my improved health to essential oils (ask me, and I'll tell you what other changes I made to improve my life for the better). I'm not just talking about physical health, but also mental, emotional and spiritual health as well. In 2015, I met up with an old and best friend I hadn't seen in a while in West Virginia. When she came to visit me, we got to chatting about her business and doTERRA. She seemed so excited about the company and the oils. She showed me all the samples she had brought with her, gave me three samples, and gave me some literature. I was familiar with the brand, I knew I loved the oils already, I knew I needed to restock on some EO's, and I knew that I would continue to regularly buy and use oils--so I decided I would join the company under her. My husband lovingly bought me the Home Essential's Kit for my birthday that year as my enrollment kit. I was SO HAPPY!! As I was a very stressed out full-time teacher, I knew I wasn't going to be trying to "do the business" right away, but I was excited to be able to regularly order quality oils for personal use, as well as learn more until maybe someday being able to share my love of oils more with others. Now is the time. I can't keep the oils and all of their amazing health benefits to myself anymore! Once I got the Home Essential's Kit, I started to diffuse the oils regularly, even buying a second diffusor so I could diffuse in two rooms. There is nothing like making your home smell amazing, lifting your mood and creating peace. I love when someone comes into my home and says, "It smells like a spa in here!" : ) Currently, I am learning how to use oils more specifically. I am beyond the days of just randomly "rubbing them all over my body." Now I am learning the when, what, how, where, and why's to using them. I have been anti-"little white pills" since I was a little girl, and am definitely pro-plants and plant-based healing. I'm so happy knowing that I can use a little bit of nature in a bottle if I have a little headache, if I feel a cold coming on, or if I'm feeling stressed out. And I like knowing that just a couple drops goes a long way! After attending my first doTERRA convention in Salt Lake City, Utah in September of 2016, I am so glad I joined doTERRA. I believe in this company. I was amazed at how kind, humble, professional, and giving the leaders of this company are. I was SO HAPPY to hear about all the non-profits this company supports--non-profits that through doing doTERRA, I support also! : ) I am so impressed and pleased with how this company is striving to help and heal individuals and communities in 43 COUNTRIES around the world. I am satisfied, knowing that this company carefully sources for the best, most potent, quality oils around the world. I am happy and proud to be part of doTERRA.
