My early lifestyle gave me a solid basis for what I teach today – that nature has health solutions that cannot be replicated with some of the modern day medicines, synthetics and procedures that make up our current healthcare system. Fortunately, education was an important part of my upbringing, too. I earned an education degree and ultimately became a teacher like my mom. After a few years of teaching high school English, I left my formal teaching career to raise our five children. In the mid-1980’s, my husband and I had the opportunity to purchase Gunnar Electric, the electrical contracting company where my husband, Woody, worked. It was an extensive learning experience for me to excel at the skills needed to be an effective president of our electrical contracting company. Fast forward to the summer of 2011. I was introduced to doTERRA International’s essential oils. I had a couple life changing essential oil “experiences” with the oils soon after I purchased some (as in going from laid out flat with a nasty bug to being fully functional in a Board meeting within hours).
