PLEASANT GROVE, Utah—September 24, 2014—doTERRA International, the leader in natural essential oils, introduced 14 new products during its sixth annual, record-breaking convention. The more than 18,000 attendees from every region of the world enjoyed in-depth product training and learned about the new doTERRA Co-Impact Sourcing® strategy that is helping economically challenged areas rich in essential oil resources build economic stability. Attendees also enjoyed a doTERRA Healing Hands Foundation™ benefit concert and learned about the impact the foundation is having around the world as it seeks to bring healing and hope to impoverished communities.
"The new essential oils and essential oil infused products introduced during this convention help people take a more active role in their health and wellbeing," said Rob Young, Founding Executive, Product Marketing & Branding Services. "People are learning how essential oils can help them improve their wellness and are asking for additional, natural, health-promoting products that are easy to use. We’re simply answering that request with products like our doTERRA Breathe® Respiratory Drops and our TerraGreens fruit and vegetable supplement. Now it’s easier than ever to get your fruits and vegetables on a daily basis and to experience the benefits of our doTERRA Breathe® Respiratory Blend."
New essential oils released at the event include Arborvitae from the giant arborvitae trees of Canada and a newly reformulated Breathe Respiratory Blend. Cardamom, sourced though Co-Impact Sourcing™ in Guatemala, carried significant importance for attendees due to the nature of the Co-Impact Sourcing strategy.
"Through Co-Impact Sourcing, we’re able to help the growers and distillers that supply our therapeutic grade essential oils, as well as their communities, build economic stability." said Tim Valentiner, Director of Strategic Sourcing for dōTERRA. "dōTERRA is uniquely positioned to make a significant impact in many developing countries as our essential oils are sourced where they grow best, and many of these are countries facing economic and environmental challenges. Our philosophy is simple: help community leaders and our distiller partners identify what they need in order to benefit from stable, predictable prices and improve productivity and harvesting practices to consistently provide the highest quality essential oils. In many cases, establishing growers’ cooperatives is ideal, and we often facilitate the construction of clean water systems, schools, and improved health services through our Healing Hands Foundation. It’s never a one-size-fits-all approach, but rather, adapted to each grower’s community’s needs. Our Co-Impact Sourcing approach empowers small-scale farmers and distillers to lift themselves out of poverty through our partnership with them. We’re simply there to help them help themselves."
The Healing Hands Foundation benefit concert was the capstone event featuring artist including Diamond Rio, Ryan Innes, Aaliyah Rose, David Osmond, Nathan Pacheco and others. The concert provided a remarkable closing to a busy and productive week for the company and attendees.
