Origin: a Latin derivative

doTERRA Wellness Advocate Hannah Ellis worked with Diamond Sponsor Rebecca Bowles to give food, transportation, and site for a school to children in Kiambu, Kenya.
Hannah Ellis has been passionate about charity work for as long as she can remember. She recalls seeing ads growing up to help starving children in Africa and being moved by them to do all she can to help. Hannah had a friend who took her humanitarian efforts into full force when she moved to Kenya and started to feed local children. Soon she was feeding over 300 children and knew she needed to do more and reached out to Hannah to see if she could do anything to help. Hannah started fund raising on her own before she became a Wellness Advocate.
After joining doTERRA, Hannah attended convention in Amsterdam, and this is where she was first introduced to the doTERRA Healing Hands Foundation®. Hannah saw that the Healing Hands Foundation not only supported large charities, but also helped hundreds of Wellness Advocates like her complete their own humanitarian work. Immediately she knew that this foundation would help her immensely with her efforts in Kenya. Hannah had learned that the survival rate of children is increased significantly when they are educated. Hannah started to focus her of getting the children a school and a way to get to school.
Between rules and laws in both Kenya and the U.K. Hannah had to use all her resources and hard work to make her project come into existence. She had her up line and downline helping her every step of the way and for that, she is very grateful. She said, “I had no idea how incredibly supportive people would be, having spent 13 years fundraising with cakes sales, marathons and so much more it has been incredibly hard with many obstacles and people saying “no” a lot! I anticipated it would take a long time to achieve any future dreams for Kenya. However, my up line and others jumped on whole heartedly and ran with me in an incredible way.”
Hannah was able to donate land for a school, school supplies, food, and clothing with her help from the Healing Hands Foundation. She is looking forward to the building of the school and continuing to be an influence in the lives of these children.
