$1,000 raised for Operation Underground Railroad at Crossfit Event

dōTERRA leader Katie Schomberg hosts WOD fundraising event at a local Crossfit center to raise money for Operation Underground Railroad.

doTERRA leader Katie Schomberg of Waynesville, North Carolina, has used her local Crossfit gym for events in the past, but never for a fundraiser like the one she held on December 10, 2016. After the announcement at the 2016 doTERRA convention about the doTERRA Healing Hands Foundation™ partnership with Operation Underground Railroad, Schomberg realized that she had the perfect opportunity to host a Workout of the Day (WOD) fundraiser benefitting the new partner.

Schomberg provided t-shirts for participants at the WOD fundraiser, and the doTERRA Healing Hands Foundation donated product to use as door prizes at the event. Almost 50 people attended the fundraiser, and everyone in attendance had a great time doing Crossfit and trying doTERRA products. By the end of the event, $1,000 has been raised for Operation Underground Railroad.
“We are learning that our ‘why’ in our doTERRA journey is very tied to giving back, and this is just one of the first steps for us,” says Schomberg. “Thank you so much for contributing to our event and helping it be so successful!”
