How do I quailfy for the incentive trip?

When does the contest begin and end?
  • Incentive Trip qualifications run from March 1, 2017–August 31, 2017.
Where will the 2018 Incentive Trip be?
  • For the 2018 incentive trip we will be heading to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. Join us for four nights of sightseeing, group activities, adrenaline filled excursions and breath taking beaches, and nights filled with fine dining, luxurious accommodations, dancing and entertainment.
What is the date range of the trip?
  • The trip will take place Monday, February 5–Friday, February 9, 2018 (4 nights / 5 days).
How many winners will be selected?

If I qualify and want my family to come too, can I pay their way on the trip?
  • Yes, purchase options are available for additional guests, information will be available as the trip nears.
Will the doTERRA Executive Team be on the trip?
  • Our executive team will be joining the trip to Cancun, you will have the opportunity to spend valuable time with these members of the executive team. Business building, product education, and R&R!
How frequently will the rank status be updated online?
  • Standings will be updated once a week beginning April 1, 2017.
If I'm a winner, when can I place my order for the wholesale doTERRA products? Does the order have to be full PV value items? Do we have to pay shipping?
  • Product credit points will be awarded the winners in the two weeks following the end of the contest (contest ends August 31). The wholesale credit must be used for full PV value items. Member is responsible for shipping.
Will points be awarded for rank advancement?
  • No rank advancement points will be awarded for this year's incentive tirp.
Do I need a passport?
  • Government requlations are continually being modified with regards to passports. You can ask your personal Trip Consultant if a passport will be necessary for your vacation, or find out the most current requlations at the State Department's Travel website: Currently if you are a resident of U.S. or Canada you will need a passport for this trip, for all other countries please check the guidelines.
Can I participate if I am based in another market?
  • No, this trip is only open to the U.S. and Canada Market.
When will the winners be notified?
  • Winners will be announced in September 2017.
How can I get from the airport to the hotel?
  • Transportation to/from the Punta Cana International Airport and the Paradisus Palma Real will be provided on the established arrival (February 5) and departure (February 9) days only. Should you choose to arrive or depart on different days you will be responsible for your own transportation arrangements.
If I want to purchase the trip can I book direct with the hotel?
  • No attendees will be permitted into the doTERRA private events if they are booked direct with the hotel, only those who purchase their trip through doTERRA will be invited.
What if I earn a spot on the trip but am unable to attend? Will I be able to receive a different award?
  • Prizes may be gifted or sold to whomever the winner chooses, winners are responsible for the handling of the sell or gift of the trip and must notify doTERRA prior to the deadlines. Points earned as part of the prize will be awarded to the winner only. Prizes cannot be redeemed for cash or additional points. Awards must be gifted or sold by December 1, 2017 (no exceptions will be made).


Travel Questions

What documentation will I need?
  • All passengers must have a passport valid for six months beyond the return date. Birth and naturalization certificates are NOT acceptable forms of identification. If you are not a U.S. Citizen, please contact your country's consulate for information on any additional documentation that may be required. Please carry your passport with you at all times. We also recommend packing a photocopy of the picture and signature pages of your passport. If your passport should get lost, the photocopies will make it much easier to get an emergency replacement. How can I obtain a Passport?
  • Your local post office will be able to tell you where the nearest passport agency is. US citizens will need a certified birth certificate or naturalization certificate and a government-issued photo ID. You will also need two passport photos, which can be taken at most any photo studio or photo lab. The current fee for an adult US passport is $135.00, excluding any expedite fees. Typical processing time is approximately six weeks. If you choose to pay the expedite fee of $60.00, typical processing time is only two weeks. When should I arrive at the airport?
  • Recommended international check-in time is at least three hours prior to departure (depending on Homeland Security threat level). Please call the airline or access the airline's Internet site to check for schedule changes/flight delays and reconfirm recommended check-in time prior to leaving for the airport.
What should I pack?
  • Pack light, comfortable clothing, including walking shorts, capri-style pants, light trousers, short-sleeved shirts, and dresses. Make sure you pack a pair of comfortable sandals or shoes, and don't forget a swimsuit, sunglasses and sunscreen. Bring layers such as a sweater or wrap, for cooler evenings.
How much luggage can I take?
  • Most carriers now charge a fee for checked luggage. In general you will be allowed up to two (2) checked bags for a fee, and one (1) carry-on bag free of charge that must fit in the overhead bin or under the seat in front of you. Please check with your airline to confirm the current luggage limitations and any applicable fees. As a reminder, please do not pack your valuables or things you will need within the next 24 hours in your checked luggage. These include (but are not limited to) your passport, credit cards/cash, laptop, "Blackberry", camera, cell phone, jewelry, glasses, contact lenses and solution (note size limits), and medication. Should I lock my checked luggage?
  • The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) may need to open your checked bags in order to perform a random security screening. If your bags are locked, TSA will break the locks during the screening process and does not assume liability for any damage this may cause. TSA-recognized locks, which can be opened by TSA using tools provided by luggage-industry members, help prevent the need to break locks. However, TSA-recognized locks are still occasionally broken during the screening process. If you want to guarantee that your checked bags are not forced open, leave them unlocked, but make sure you carry all documentation and valuables with you.
What will the weather be like?
  • Expect lows around 72°F, with highs up to 87°F.
What is the time difference?
  • Punta Cana, Dominican Republic is in the AST (Atlantic Standard Time) Zone (UTC - 4:00).
What is the electrical voltage?
  • Standard voltage is 110 volts, the same as in the United States. You will not need a converter or plug adapter for your electrical appliances.
Can I drink the water?
  • Your resort offers purified water, but you may prefer to drink bottled water. As a precaution, we recommend you avoid ice cubes and uncooked produce that may have been washed in tap water.
What about safety?
  • Most people who travel to Dominican Republic have a wonderful time and don't encounter any problems. Resort areas and tourist destinations in Dominican Republic do not see the levels of drug-related violence and crime reported in the border region and in areas along major drug trafficking routes. However, as in other tourist destinations throughout the world, crime is a fact of life and as a tourist, theft is the most probable threat. In order to increase your chances of having a safe and pleasant vacation, follow these tips for Dominican Republic travel safety.
  • Please do not leave cash, jewelry, credit cards, or other valuables unattended in your hotel room or on the beach. The hotel has safe deposit facilities for your valuables. Be particularly careful with cameras, purses and wallets.
  • Use the same common sense traveling overseas that you would at home. Be especially cautious in (or avoid) areas where you may be more easily victimized. Avoid scam artists by being wary of strangers who approach you and offer to be your guide or sell you something at bargain prices.
What about currency and credit cards?
  • Traveler's checks in U.S. dollars are the currency of choice, as they can be replaced if stolen or lost. You can exchange them as needed. Credit cards are accepted almost everywhere, will give you the best possible exchange rate, and are a great way to track travel expenses. You may also wish to bring a small amount of local cash with which to pay street vendors.
What's not included that I can expect to pay for?
  • All personal travel expenses, such as activities you book on your own, phone calls, and dry-cleaning/laundry services, are your responsibility and must be paid for upon check-out.
How can I call home?
  • You can call directly from your room to the US complimentary at the Paradisus Palma Real, outside of that the charges will be added to your incidental bill and must be settled prior to departure. For mobile devices check with your mobile service provider prior to departure regarding area coverage and roaming charges.
How can I be contacted?
  • For your convenience, a leave-behind card with your hotel's contact information will be included with your documents.
What about customs procedures?
  • You will need to go through customs as you return to the United States. For visitors over 21 years of age, 200 cigarettes or 50 cigars and one liter of spirits or wine is allowed. Purchases amounting to over $400.00 will have to be itemized and may be subject to duty charges. Be sure to keep all receipts handy.


Contest winners are determined by dōTERRA (Company) in its sole and absolute judgment and discretion based upon contest rules, guidelines, and qualifications. Participants have no legal recourse or claim against the Company for the exercise of said judgments and results of its determinations.
