Traveling with Oils

We understand the concern about traveling with your oils, particularly regarding x-ray exposure during airport screenings. But, good news! Our research team has performed testing with TSA and can confirm that after reviewing doTERRA essential oils after having been subjected to 8 trips through x-ray equipment, all essential oil chemistry profiles show no change!

You can travel confidently with oils in your luggage knowing your oils will maintain their beneficial properties!

Additionally, please note the following recommendations from our friendly Salt Lake City TSA agents:

  • Place all oils in a clear bag and remove them from your carry-on luggage.
  • If you choose to opt-out of x-ray for your oils, note that your oils will require additional testing.
  • Show up early! With thousands of doTERRA Wellness Advocates passing through the Salt Lake International Airport, lines will be long (particularly on Friday and Saturday). Be sure to arrive at least two hours prior to your scheduled departure.

The closest TRAX station to the Salt Palace Convention Center is the Temple Square Station. For easy access to the Vivint Smart Home Arena, the Arena Station is your stop. Both stops are available via the blue and green TRAX lines, which begin service before 6am and conclude service at approximately 11pm each day of the convention.

Vivint Security Guidelines

In an effort to create a more seamless process through Vivint Smart Home Arena’s security check, we’ve compiled the following recommendations:

  • While backpacks, purses and totes are permitted, clear bags (no larger than 12x12x6”) are highly recommended. Bringing large bags and luggage will result in your being denied entry.
  • There will be reserved lines for with those with clear bags. Though you will still have to pass through standard security measures, we anticipate these will be much quicker.
  • There will be no luggage check available at Vivint Smart Home Arena. If you need to bring luggage on the last day of General Session (Friday, September 13), please utilize luggage check available in the Salt Palace Convention Center (location).
  • A reasonable amount of light, personal snacks will be permitted into Vivint Smart Home Arena. No full meals or large amounts of any food will be permitted.
  • Water bottles (non-glass) must be empty prior to entering Vivint Smart Home Arena.
  • Please remove any pins attached to your lanyard as these will trigger security detectors.
  • Door 8 (on the southeast corner facing 100 South) will be ADA Accessible and will open 10 minutes early to accommodate those needing additional assistance with seating.
