Will my body adjust to regular use of essential oils?

Regular use of natural essential oils will not result in decreased effectiveness as long as you continue to use them. Resistance is largely tied to a chemical process known as “receptor recycling,” in which the cell receptors correspond with ligands (chemicals that enable interaction with the cell) that are either destroyed or reprocessed after having completed their journey away from the cell. We have no evidence that essential oil use results in the death of their cellular receptors and therefore that repeated use will result in progressively diminished benefits.
